When the website contacted him, the 35-year-old assistant choreographer said that he was informed that a charge sheet has been filed. Ganesh Acharya has denied these allegations and called them "false and baseless". When an FIR was lodged by the Mumbai Police on the complaint of the assistant choreographer, their legal team said in February 2020 that they had filed a defamation complaint against the co-star.

In her complaint, the co-dancer alleged that Ganesh Acharya harassed her after she turned down his offer. He accused her of making lewd comments, showing porn movies and molesting her. According to the woman, the choreographer had reportedly told her that if she wanted to be successful, she would have to be with her in May 2019. But six months after she refused, the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association terminated her membership.
