Gurugram News A case of allegedly not allowing a disabled woman to enter a restaurant has come to light in Gurugram, adjacent to the national capital Delhi. The handicapped woman alleges that being on a wheelchair, she was prevented from entering by the restaurant's staff and said that she would cause trouble to other customers.

After a long time, I came out and...

Divyang woman Srishti Pandey has posted many posts on Twitter stating her ordeal. Also, in a conversation with news agency ANI, I said that I had gone to the pub on the way to Gurugram last night with my dear friend. After a long time, I came out and I wanted to have fun. Srishti said that my friend's elder brother asked to book a table for four people. There the current employees ignored him twice. He said that the third time he said, the employee said - the wheelchair will not go inside. We thought that there would be some problem in reaching inside, but it was not so. We told him that we will make some arrangements, you book the table. We were all shocked by what he said after that.

Staff said - customers will be disturbed

Srishti Pandey said that pointing towards me, the staff said that the customers will be disturbed inside and stopped us from entering. After arguing for a long time, he asked to keep the table outside. Sitting outside was bad enough. It was very cold and I cannot sit outside in the cold for long because of my condition. Srishti Pandey has also posted a video of an argument with an employee of the pub.

Management dismissed the allegation

At the same time, the club management has denied this allegation. The 'Rasta' club claimed that the facts were distorted. B Madhav told news agency Bhasha that we did not deny her entry, but she wanted to go to the dance floor in her wheelchair. There were stairs and it was very crowded. An accident could have happened and it was also important for their safety.

Pooja Bhat tweeted this response

Here, a tweet narrating the story of Srishti Pandey's behavior with her is being widely shared on social media. Reacting to the matter, actress and film producer Pooja Bhat tweeted, I am very sad that this happened to you. We as a society are suffering from a lack of compassion. Not being able to get into a wheelchair is one thing, but refusing to go after seeing a person dependent on it is another.

Gurugram police sought information

Amidst all this, Gurugram Police also reacted to Srishti Pandey's tweet and sought contact details from him. Here, Inspector Pawan Malik of DLF Phase 2 Police Station said that we have not received any complaint yet.
