LPG Cylinder Latest Update: The misuse of domestic LPG cylinder is increasing rapidly. Cheap domestic LPG is now being used commercially. Though this used to happen earlier also, but in recent times there has been a rise in this blackmarketing of Domestic LPG Cylinder. Due to the huge difference in the prices of domestic cylinders and commercial cylinders, this hoax has started and is flourishing.

Commercial cylinder is costlier by Rs 1,007 than domestic cylinder

According to a report by news agency ANI, due to the huge difference in the prices of domestic cylinders and commercial cylinders, LPG cylinders are being used commercially. In fact, the price of 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is currently Rs 899.50, while the cost of 19 kg commercial or commercial cylinder is Rs 1,907. That is, the price difference between the two cylinders is Rs 1,007.50.

In this way a commercial cylinder becomes a domestic cylinder

There are many people in the country who are unable to use 12 LPG cylinders in a year. People doing illegal business of cylinders lure such people with some money and book their cylinders and use them commercially. Even for those who are not able to use 12 cylinders, it becomes a means of earning sitting at home. That's why this business is flourishing nowadays.

Consumption of 12.42 kg cylinder increased by 30 percent

It has been told in the report that the consumption of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has increased by 15 to 30 percent in certain areas in recent times. There are some unauthorized agents, who are selling domestic cylinders for commercial use. These agents supply domestic cylinders to restaurants, dhabas, tea stalls, street food vendors etc. at the cost of commercial cylinders.

Agency people sell cylinders with a profit of 200-250

Not only this, agents doing business of cylinders illegally do blackmarketing of LPG cylinders. These people also do the business of refilling commercial cylinders from domestic cylinders. In this, some gas distributors also help these black marketers. It has been told in the report that distributors illegally give domestic gas to unauthorized agents by taking profit of Rs 200-250.

People who do black marketing also do refilling of gas

Thereafter, unauthorized agents refill the domestic cylinder into the commercial cylinder and supply it directly to restaurants, dhabas, tea stalls, etc. These people buy a cylinder of Rs 900 for Rs 1,100-1,200 and sell it for between Rs 1,300 and Rs 1,550. The cylinders are cheaper for the shopkeepers even in Rs 1550, because if they buy from the company, then they will have to pay Rs 1907 for that.

If you get a cylinder for 1500 rupees, then who will spend 1907 rupees?

The people involved in this business are earning a lot of money. A person associated with this industry has said that if you get a 19 kg cylinder for Rs 1300 to 1550, then why would any person go to buy a commercial cylinder for Rs 1907. People associated with the LPG industry tell that due to the commercial use of domestic gas in this way, the supply of consumers living in villages is being affected.

The gas agency used to do black marketing of cylinders

It has been said in the report that only last month, the Supply Department of Cachar, in association with Indian Oil Corporation, raided the warehouse of a gas agency. At least one thousand domestic gas cylinders were recovered from there. During the investigation, it was found that the agency sold cylinders illegally and earned money by black marketing of LPG cylinders.

1400 cylinders found in Haryana's rice mill

A similar action took place in Yamunanagar, Haryana. Chief Minister Flying Squad raided a rice mill located in Bilaspur block of Yamunanagar district. 1,400 commercial cylinders were recovered from there. It has been told that these cylinders were deposited illegally. These cylinders belonged to a gas agency, but he did not have permission to keep them in this rice mill.

Action is taken against dealer and distributor- HPCL

ANI has said in its report that Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) Chairman MK Surana has told in this regard that a mechanism has been made to take action against black marketing of gas. If it is found that any gas agency of the company is involved in such activity i.e. black marketing of cylinders, then action is taken against the dealer and distributor.
